Short Term Rentals: No Longer Offering

As of December 15, 2023 a Minnehaha County judge wrote an opinion that we can not short or long term rent our house. Yes that is correct what craziness! Officially as of Feb 4, 2024 we have not officially receive the notice. So we could rent however the orders could come in at any time so we do not feel comfortable renting and then having to cancel.

We are working with our legal department to work through this mess. Please contact your politician so we can have a conversation with them about this craziness. In the City of Sioux Falls which is 0.4 miles away this is an allowed use. In Minnehaha County’s Joint Jurisdiction they created a conditional use permit ordinance that we have applied for, been denied, and are in the process of appealing this decision.
